We are four students from emlyon business school in Paris. As entrepreneurs, we decided to tackle the problem of employee engagement in the work place. Young employees are increasingly asking to work for companies or organizations that respond to their search for "meaning". Clearly the material conditions of employment such as remuneration alone, opportunities to travel or the diversity of company assignments are no longer enough to motivate young recruits in the job market. In view of the importance of this search for meaning in the choice of company that candidates make on the job market, it seemed important to us to measure its impact and the level of satisfaction among the employee population. The primary objective is to identify the employers - companies or others - able to respond to the search for meaning and to measure this qualitative dimension through a targeted questionnaire. This tool therefore makes it possible, in a second step, to measure or compare employers on the scale of the "meaning" perceived by employees and future employees.
